Terms of Service

Last updated: April 1, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Mojere, you agree to these Terms. We've tried to write them in plain language, but if anything is unclear, email legal@mojere.ca. If you don't agree to these Terms, you can't use Mojere. No penalty, no hard feelings.

We occasionally update these Terms (usually to add protections for our community, not to restrict your rights). We'll email you about major changes. Keep using Mojere after an update? You've accepted the new Terms.

2. What Mojere Is

Mojere is a digital marketplace connecting Customers (people looking for services) and Vendors (people offering services). We're a platform: we verify vendors, but we don't employ them. When you contact a vendor, you're entering a direct relationship with them, not with Mojere.

We're not responsible for the quality, timeliness, or legality of services offered by vendors. We do our best to verify vendors, but we recommend you vet them too (check references, ask questions, trust your gut).

3. Your Account

You must be at least 18 years old to use Mojere. Create an account with accurate info (we need this for trust and safety). You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account. If someone's using your account without permission, tell us immediately at support@mojere.ca.

You can delete your account anytime. Your data is gone in 30 days (unless we need to keep it for legal reasons).

4. For Vendors: Your Responsibilities

You represent that: you have the right to offer your services; you hold all required licenses, permits, and insurance; your services are legal where you offer them; and you're not banned from operating by any government. Mojere's verification doesn't guarantee quality, it just means we've checked that you exist and are legitimate.

You're solely responsible for your service quality, delivery, and any harm caused. Your customers can sue you if something goes wrong, not Mojere.

5. Community Rules (No Exceptions)

You may not: post fake info or impersonate anyone; harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone (we take this seriously, and violators are banned); spam or advertise off-platform; hack or access Mojere's systems; or violate any law. This includes scams, fraud, human trafficking, and exploitation. We work with law enforcement on these.

We believe our community should feel safe. Violation of these rules means immediate account suspension and permanent ban.

6. Your Content & Intellectual Property

Photos, videos, and descriptions you upload on Mojere are yours. You own them. But you give us permission to display them on the platform, in search results, marketing, etc. (with credit to you). Don't upload anything you don't own.

Mojere's name, logo, design, and code are ours. Don't use them without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

Mojere is provided "as is." We try to keep it running smoothly, but we don't promise it'll never crash or have bugs. To the extent allowed by law, we're not liable for indirect damage (like lost income or emotional distress) from your use of Mojere.

If you have a legitimate claim, our maximum liability is the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (or $100, whichever is higher).

8. Dispute Resolution & Arbitration

If you have a dispute with another user or Mojere, we prefer to resolve it together. Contact support@mojere.ca. Most issues get resolved this way. If they don't, we'll use binding arbitration in Ontario, Canada (cheaper and faster than court). You're not giving up your right to sue, just agreeing to arbitration first.

9. Suspension & Termination

We can suspend your account if you violate these Terms. For serious violations (scams, threats, discrimination), we'll suspend you immediately. For less serious stuff, we'll give you a warning first. You can appeal suspensions by emailing legal@mojere.ca within 30 days.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Ontario law and federal Canadian law (including PIPEDA privacy law). For users in the UK, UK data protection law also applies. Any legal action happens in Ontario courts.
